A. they wont give much. any type of settlements, unemployment, disabilty and checks like that given by the government are barley ever enough for someone to live off of. i know someone who for carpal tunnel only gets 300 bucks a month like seriously tht stuff aint worth it unless u wanna be livin in a cardboard box under the 8th street bridge

Q. what is average carpal tunnel settlement from workmans comp in ill.?

A. Likely nothing, It depends on what's going on the case. We're you able to return to work full duty? Are you participating in any vocational rehab? If it's now then your permanent partial disability/impairment could range from $500-$2500. And this depends on what your rating is. If it was a minor surgery, likely no money at all.

workers comp settlement in nc for carpal tunnel?
Q. What is a reasonable settlement for bi-lateral carpal tunnel with disability25% on one hand
Asked by scott s - Fri Mar 5 12:57:17 2010 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Depends on how NC does their rating system. It could go different ways. It could be based on a formula that is provided by the state. If it's whole person % then it you could be looking a lot, but since it's 25% in one hand I'm sure your state is based on a given formula and weeks. So I would estimate between $1500-$10,000

Bi lateral carpal tunnel?
Q. I had bi lateral carpal tunnel surgery and bi lateral trigger nodal in my thumb and ring and index fingers. I have a disability of 75% and cannot work. I get about $100. a week from Workman's comp in NYS. I have been on comp since November of 2007. I can do minimal things around the house. Now I have to see their IME doctor to see if they agree with my doctor. Its coming close to a settlement. but how do they calculate, my wrist bi lateral carpal tunnel and my trigger fingers and thumbs, which my thumb is still locked my wrist have nerve damage that goes and makes my finger numb, this is all after surgery to repair them, the only thing the surgery did do was relieve some of the swelling so I can sleep at night. Florida Auto accident settlement, help?
Q. Ok, here is the deal: A little over one year ago I was hit head on by a driver under the influence of drugs. She was 100% at fault according to all reports and records. She died on impact, I was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital. I had a broken wrist, broken toes, whiplash, and 3 herniated discs. Due to the wrist injuries, I have been diagnosed with carpal tunnel, and also, post traumatic stress disorder (while driving or riding only). I have no medical issues or problems before this accident, all were caused by the wreck. I do have an attorney, I hate Florida the system is set up so that no doctor will see you without one. So anyway, it is about time for the demand letter to be sent to the insurance company. I have about $25 [cont.]

A. you qualify/forget the limits/sit down with an accountant and figure out money loss/income due to these damages and future loss/he will estimate it and go from there/sometimes the judge will set limits aside and gong insurance company for more/seen it happen

Do you know much about worker's comp settlements?
Q. My husband has carpal tunnel in both hands, and was just approved for surgery. He had to get a lawyer since the adjuster was denying everything. So we were just wondering how long the settlements take and how much they can be? Oh, we are in California Megan, what kind of chart? Like can i look it up online or something?
Asked by purplepansymama - Mon Jun 25 20:13:42 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. It generally is a year from the time that your husband finishes treating with his doctor. Although, if this is a denied accident, it could take longer. There should be a chart you can look to that will say around how much your husband will receive.

A. If I've ever heard of somebody who needs to talk to a lawyer it's you. An employee driving a customer car while on business means that that business is liable and likely the employee as well. There are simply too many parties involved here to be trying to understand all of your options on your own. Most attorneys will offer a free consultation and take a case such as this on a contingency fee basis. If they loose, they get nothing. If they win, they get a third. Funny how everybody hates lawyers until they need one. You need one.

Need help please, anyone?
Q. I was injured on the job in October was off for about 5 days and then was put on light duty up till now. I am in Wisconsin. I had a carpal tannell surgery and a nerve damage in arm by elbow surgery in December on my left arm. I had just a carpal tunnel surgery on my right in February. I have been going to rehab-therapy for the last couple of months for this. I have an appointment with the doctor on April 15th--and he hopes to release me to full duty (I am a concrete laborer) at that time. They did a sensory test on both hands and elbow 3 weeks ago and they came out bad---did not have the normal sensation in the hands as they would have hoped. What kind of settlement or compensation do you suppose I might get on these 3 injuries? If… [cont.]

A. the best way to get an answer is to consult an attorney that specializes in worker's compensation. they will not be able to give you any idea until the dr. releases you and decides what type, if any, permenant restrictions, and permenant impairment rating your dr. assigns. you may also be entitled to a second orthopedic opinion under the law, if you are not satisfied that the first one is being essentially fair to you. the insurance carrier will likely offer you money to close your right to any future medical expenses. i personally think it is rarely a good idea. however, if you have problems with your wrist later it will be hard to get the carrier to step-up. see someone who really knows the law. dont just get any sorry lawyer in the… [cont.]

Can someone advise how to keep my unemployment and have surgery under wk comp claim?
Q. I live in IL. I was let go from my job of 24yrs. Back in 2006, I was diagnosed w/bilateral carpal tunnel. Wk comp was approv'd and is still open. No disputes on treatment including surgery on one hand in 2007. (which has been successful and good choice). Under IL law the company is still responsible and claim stays open until resolved when no longer employed there due the injury happened while employed. Dr. sent me for the EMG test again on other hand, and it came up stronger than orig test in 2006. I am having major discomfort and now have "trigger finger". I have surgery sched'd for April. IL law states I am not eligible for unemply benefit while being compensated by wk comp. All I am going to collect from wk comp is they pay the… [cont.]
